Upon arrival Corbin reviewed the job with me and explained what he and Ben would be doing in detail. Corbin asked if I had any questions and explained everything before beginning. Corbin and Ben worked hard all day and did a fantastic job. When they finished, Corbin reviewed with me what they had completed. He explained how long to stay off of the driveway so it can dry. The area had caution tape up to make sure no one walked or drove on the driveway until the area had dried. I was so impressed how the driveway was level and all of the cracks had been repaired. The sinking and cracking was substantial. They completed all work in about 2 hours which included leveling a section of sidewalk which was not on the original order (An additional charge was paid for this work.) The caulking along the baseboard had a very irregular line along the board. Suggest using painters tape to give a straighter, clean looking finish (this is why I gave only 4 star rating). Clean up of the area was good. Three contractors proposed excavating (requiring propping up the roof section overhead, as well as removing adjacent mature shrubbery), and rebuilding the entire structure, for estimates ranging from ~$10-13K. Foamworks came out and in less than an hour leveled the porch - no roof problem, no shrubbery impacts. It was amazing to watch! They also leveled the adjacent walkway slabs, and I had them seal all the concrete, incl the driveway, with SealantPro sealant and NexusPro joint sealant. I can see that the sealant added a protective coating to my 6-year old driveway concrete, and the NexusPro joint sealant is much more stable than sealants I've used in the past. Total Cost: less than $6K, and no construction mess. I had a porch slab in front of the house that cracked in the middle and it was sinking on one end, taking the brick facia on the house with it. They were able to raise the slab parts and realign both slab and bricks perfectly. They even made an additional trip after completion to repair the crack’s caulking after my dog stepped in it before it had fully cured. They offered such a good price that I was able to also have the sidewalks lifted for better water drainage away from the house. We got quotes from 3 different companies, and Don Coates, who did our original estimate, was far more knowledgeable and thorough than the other 2 firms. The 2 young guys - Anthony & Jonah- who came and did the work were friendly and professional. They worked 14 hours to complete the job. All 3 were responsive to my questions and concerns. We had all of our concrete stabilized, all joints caulked and several areas lifted. It looks good. The biggest lift was around our patio and then around our pool. While it was quite an expense, the alternative of doing nothing and the concrete situation getting worse would be many times more expensive down the road. Additionally, the warranty is far superior to the other 2 firms and I we believe the caulk product used was superior as well. The porch is level, I feel confident that the support for the porch roof will not fail, and the end product looks fantastic! I appreciate the extra care that they showed by putting sand on top of the caulking to make it blend in better, and also in mentioning that the porch roof supports are rotting, and that I should think about replacing them. I did not want the mess and high cost of busting it up and pouring new. I had been contemplating this service for several years. I finally decided to give it a try because the cracked and shifted slabs were getting worse, as well as becoming a trip hazard. I am very glad I called these people. The quote was prompt. The cost was half what a demolition and new pour would cost. The end result was perfect. Anthony and Jonah from Foamworks showed up promptly in the morning and began working immediately. They were very good at what they did. I was surprised by Anthony's skill at lifting an leveling the slabs. He and Jonah worked together like a team who had done this many times before. The end result was firmly lifted slabs re-leveled and shedding water as they should. I am calling them back to look at another project as soon as I can. If you want a permanent leveling of broken concrete, this is it. It had shifted over time, rain water was running back towards our home risking foundation issues. Brand new patios are so expensive! That’s when I found Foam Works. They injected foam under the patio to lift it close to 6”, filled in all the cracks, and sealed the surface. Although, the neighborhood kids may miss the mini ramp formed by the sunken sidewalk concrete that I also had repaired. I didn’t realize residents are responsible for sidewalk maintenance in Perrysburg and the condition was a liability! He had a short presentation and further explained the additional products and services offered without being pushy. Foamworks mailed me an information booklet which was informative and well written. The tiny 3/8” holes the installers drilled are barely noticeable, especially when compared to the 1 inch monsters the grout jacking requires. Sure, this might be a little more expensive than grout, but it's far less invasive and less conspicuous when it's done and is a superior solution. Everyone I had contact with was great to deal with and the customer experience was top notch.
